New polling places; teen scholarship; playground parking lot closure

Polling places will be open in town Tuesday for Connecticut’s primary elections. The town’s Registrar of Voters Department is urging residents to check their polling places because there are some changes this year.

For the primary election, District 3 will vote in Hamilton Avenue School’s cafeteria; District 7 and 7A in Greenwich Library’s lower level; District 8 in Cos Cob School’s gym; and District 11 and 11A in Parkway School’s cafeteria.

The changes, which are only for the primary election, were made necessary because of school construction projects that are underway to get the buildings ready for the new scholastic year.

All other polling places will remain the same. District 1 and 1A are voting at Julian Curtiss School; District 2 at Town Hall; District 4 and 4A at New Lebanon School; District 5 and 5A at Riverside School; District 6 and 6A at Old Greenwich School; District 9 at Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center; District 10 at Glenville School; and District 12 at North Mianus School.

Polling places will be open from 6 am to 8 pm Tuesday.
